Sunday 4th August

Daphne is leading a 6.5 mile circular walk from Bedford to Willington.

Meet at 8.50am in Saffron Road car park for car sharing or 9.30am at Priory Country Park, 1st car park on the left, Barkers Lane , Bedford, MK41 9DJ.

Tearoom and toilet stop on route.

Please note the earlier start time for our summer walks.

Walks will normally go ahead whatever the weather. Our walks include fields and footpaths so stout footwear is recommended, as is waterproof clothing. Bring a drink and a packed lunch for day walks. Walkers are requested to leave their dogs at home.

The safety of our members is paramount but each walker needs to take responsibility for themselves.

Thursday 15th August- Evening Walk

Cindy is leading our August evening walk, a 3 mile walk from Ringstead Pocket Park, Ringstead NN14 4TU. The walk starts at 6.30pm.

Post walk refreshments in the Axe and Compass.

Walks will normally go ahead whatever the weather. Our walks include fields and footpaths so stout footwear is recommended, as is waterproof clothing. Bring a drink and a packed lunch for day walks. Walkers are requested to leave their dogs at home.

This Book Club meets at the Higham Ferrers Community Library and wellbeing Hub to discuss a book that has been read. Each member of the group gets a copy of the book to read and then it is returned to the club when discussed and another one taken. The group supplies the books.
